Stop Having Fun

(This is Part VI of The D Live Culture Series)

The Wave May Be Harmful To Your Health

The 27-year-old is an enthusiastic and unreserved homer, who spent the slog that was the 2013 season serving as the Blue Jays’ professional cheerleader inside the MLB Fan Cave.

As a kid she and her Dad would go on baseball road trips from their home in Campbellton, NB, and nothing would make eight-year-old April happier than stuffing her face with cotton candy while wailing her arms in the air as the wave rolled through her section.

But now even she has had enough. The wave, Whitzman says, has jumped the shark.

Oh, I would love to hear your reasoning for why this fun pass time has, “jumped the shark.”

Anti-wave activists can list a litany of reasons why the practice should be banned. It’s a sign of amateurishness and bad fandom; it’s annoying for the people who want to watch the game and it may even distract the players. Whitzman won’t name names, but she said that during her time in the MLB Fan Cave a handful of pros told her they couldn’t stand it.

But the biggest beef is that those conducting the wave tend to choose a pivotal moment in the game to steal the spotlight. “Timing is everything,” Whitzman says.

Anti-wave activists. Also known as party-poopers.

Lets look at their righteous reasons:

sign of amateurishness

Amateurishness – “a lack of the level of skill associated with an expert or professional”

First of all, nobody uses that word. Secondly, since when was going to a baseball or football game (or any sporting event for that matter) a skill one can be an expert of professional in?

Chill out. It’s just a game.

bad fandom

Being a fan is being part of a subculture. The fans you share a common team with and have companionship with makes being at the games even more fun. But hey, guess what, the people who do the wave are part of a subculture too.

And just like you can have a rival team, you can have rival sub cultures. The thing is, the other ‘team’ isn’t trying to get the other one silenced.

it’s annoying for the people who want to watch the game

Making a stink about people standing up and waving their arms and having a good time is no excuse to try and get it banned from stadiums.

It’s the same old victim mindset that I’ve written about in previous The D Live Culture Series posts.

If you’re there to just watch the game, how about, oh I don’t know, stay home and watch it!

Or, here’s a crazy idea, ignore them.

Feeling like you’re part of the game is way more fun. Try it out some time.

It’s like these people leave their special snowflake castles (their homes) then go out in the pubic and complain that their personal space isn’t as cozy.

Well hey guess what, life isn’t cozy. You get what you get and you don’t get upset.

it may even distract the players

If fans in the seats doing the wave distracts professional athletes during a game, then those professional athletes are no longer professional. Their skill set better be good enough to be able to play with distractions like that.

Have you ever been to a European football (soccer) match? There is no way a hastag like #KillTheWave would start.

Imagine if you were to complain to a Scot that he cannot say, “Ole ole ole ole!”

It would be pande-fucking-monium. Just be glad it’s not like that here in your precious fooseball game.

Also, when at a baseball game, I love when someone stands up and chirps the pitcher. It’s all part of the game.

But the biggest beef is that those conducting the wave tend to choose a pivotal moment in the game

To get up, get pumped up, and rally the troops to make a come back, or stay ahead.

Whitzman doesn’t want to be a killjoy. She says if there is a young kid in her row she’ll make an effort. But we aren’t teaching our children right if we encourage them to participate in the wave during an important part of the game, she says

So you’re recognizing  you’re being a butt hurt buzzkill, but please, will someone think of the children!

Josh Murray, 33, leads a silent protest every time the wave rolls through his section at the Rogers Centre. He stays glued to his seat and hopes others follow suit. But he has had little success convincing others.

Josh, when was the last time you got laid? That long huh. Wow.

“I would be happy to never see The Wave again,” he said. “But short of public shaming the people who are doing it, I’m not sure what to do.”

You could take your limp wrist and try slapping those waving mother fuckers. But, then again, you’ve probably never been in a fight have you Josh. That’s why you shamming people is all you know.

Until then, she’ll continue to fight the good fight (EDIT: and Joshy boy will be right there with her, holding her purse).

The good fight, wow. You guys must have nothing important to spend your time with other then looking for things to complain about.

This isn’t a new phenomenon, it’s been around for a few years. But this is the first time I’ve heard about people trying to #KillTheWave.

I’ll be sure to post this to the hashtag for all those killjoys to see.

I did a little more hunting around and found that the common theme of these Anti-fun activists is: It’s Annoying

There’s that ‘muh feelz’ meme again. I’m starting to think The D Live Culture Series will have a never ending supply of things to write about.

Oh well, I’m ready for it.

Play ball!

dcllive balls.jpg
I will gladly stay seated during a wave if these two lovely ladies are sitting in front of me.

I voted YES.

Words That Are Funny And Why

(This is Part V of The D Live Culture Series)

Sometimes we say words without realizing the impact they may have on others. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Take time to educate yourself about language and histories of oppression.

Uh, no. But I will take time to have some fun with LGBTQIA-BCDEFGHIJK Resource Center’s list of, “Words That Hurt and Why.

Here we go.

Bitch (In Any Language)
Targets and dehumanizes women, even if used toward men, including queer and gay men. Devalues women and femininity. Reinforces sexism.

In any language? Bitch please. I’ve heard more women say that than men. And I bet more gay men say that then straight women!

No Homo
Stresses the speaker’s heterosexuality, masculinity, and/or other traits to avoid being perceived as LGBTQIA. Goes to great lengths to avoid association with anything queer. Reinforces that to be LGBTQIA is bad.

How else is my buddy going to know I don’t want to fuck him when I say, “Dude you smell great.”?

Whore/Ho and Slut
Dismisses anyone seen as being “too” sexual, particularly sex workers, women, LGBTQI people and people of color. Perpetuates negativity toward sex itself. Regulates who is allowed to have it.

A sex worker being “too” sexual, who thinks that? Nobody.

Negative towards sex? Everybody likes a good ol slut. Just don’t want to marry one.

You’re creating enemies out of thin air again. Who is this boogeyman (excuse me, boogey-person) that is regulating sex?

As far as I can tell, sex in this day in age is the most unregulated it has ever been. At least since the time of that Greek town where they fucked each other all day. The Sodomites or something. I believe that’s where the word, “sodomy” came from (or came on heh)

These words, just like “bitch” are used by women to keep other women ‘in check’ so to speak. It’s their way of shaming each other.

ex. “You whore, get away from my man!” or “Oh my god Cindy you’re such a slut! How big was his cock? Tee-hee”

Where guys fight and physically challenge each other, women use language and psychological warfare on each other. It’s quite the sight to see if you ever catch it.

Who do you see yourself ending up with?
This is another way of implying one has to “end up” gay or straight and ignores bisexuality as an identity versus a relationship status. It also assumes everyone desires to be in a long-term monogamous relationship.

Are you, fucking, kidding me. How anyone can come to this conclusion after someone has asked them, “Who do you see yourself ending up with?” is beyond fuckery.

Who’s implying? Who’s assuming?

The person who wrote this, and the organization they’re a part of sure are good at assuming things. They should get out of the Language Police business and get into Sales and Marketing. They’re so good at reading people and understanding how and what people think they could make a fortune!

That person doesn’t really look like a woman/man.
What does it mean to look like a man or woman? There are no set criteria. It also should not be assumed that all Trans Men strive to fit within dominant ideas of masculinity or all Trans Women strive to fit within dominant ideas of femininity, or that all Trans* people want to look like men or women. Gender presentation is fluid and distinct from gender identity, and all forms of gender expression deserve affirmation.

Does your head hurt yet? Mine is getting there.

Trans men still look like women. Trans women still look like dudes. You can just tell. It’s nature.

What the hell is Gender presentation? And it’s different then gender identity? No, not all forms of your silly gender expression deserve our affirmation.

Oh and gender expression? How about I express all over your face! No homo.

The way that people talk will change with the times. I get that. But forming committees and organizations that push for legislation that restricts my language?

Blow me.

This is how people talk. How much fun would life be if there were no dirty words or things you couldn’t say?

It’s the rules of the road. It’s how things actually are. Not how you want them to be. And it’s not like these words or phrases are even that bad, geez. George Carlin would be spinning in his grave.

Come on people. Grow the fuck up. Get thicker skin.

Words should’t hurt you. If words do hurt you, this might be why.

Check out the rest of the words and phrases on their list if you want to catch a few more laughs, and share your dissection of them with us here in the comments: Words That Hurt and Why

How many times throughout your life have you had a woman say something like, “For this to work I need some things to change.”

No doubt if you’ve thrown yourself to the wolves put yourself out there, tried and failed with women, then you’ve heard versions of the line above.

Not too long ago, I was given an ultimatum.

Exhibit A:

dcllive the talk.jpg

Here we go. Lets break this down some.

I always ask if you want to come over. I see you once a week, if I’m lucky.

I don’t mind this formula. Works for me.

…and at the beginning it was fine but now I’m starting to really like you and I want more.

You really like me. Have you ever considered that you like me, because you only see me once a week, because I’m not always available, and because you’re lucky (heh)?

More eh. What do you suppose “more” means fellas? More means time. More of me.

Women control sex. Men control commitment (make sure the first commitment is yourself).

I know you’re busy and everything with school and work, but like even just coming over every now and then and spending the night before school.

Yes I am busy. Again, that’s why you like me!

Idk I’m rambling I know I’m sorry I’m just upset and I want this to work but for it to work I need some things to change

And there it is guys. The beautiful cognitive dissidence.

(hey I’m guilty of that too sometimes)

Or perhaps she was on her period?

Regardless of the reason, it’s still nutter.

She likes me, but thinks I have to change. How the fuck doesn’t she see that, if I change she won’t like me anymore!

And also, why not change yourself if you think you want more? Why do I have to do anything?

Here was my response:

dcllive the talk 2.jpg

I don’t care anymore if a woman gives me an ultimatum.

What exactly am I losing? Pussy? Okay. There’s an app for that.

This sort of thing has happened to me in every relationship I’ve been in. I ‘make changes’ and the woman I’m with stops liking me.

Now I’m not blaming them for that. It was me who changed. But it sure is revealing to me how women can say conflicting things like this.

I know a bunch of you just went, “Ya no shit D. Women have been saying conflicting shit like this for centuries” and to that I say, you’re right.

But I’m the type of guy who needs to see and be a part of this RP stuff. I cannot just read about it and accept that it’s true. An RP lens on life is tough but necessary.

I tried my hardest to not come off as boyfriend material. She made several efforts to go on trips with me, eg. camping, road trip, and overnight in a hotel. All are fun things. But I didn’t want to be doing that in the middle of the semester. So I cancelled.

My reason was I was busy with school. Yes, it’s shitty when someone cancels plans with you, but hey, that’s life.

We would have great sex. She called me daddy. But there was no way in hell this broad was more than a sex friend. This is probably why.

She’s 21 and parties a lot. I cannot keep up with that. I’m okay with that.

I guess that’s the last time I’ll hear from….

..wait a minute, what’s that?

dcllive the talk 3.jpg

About four weeks later I get a, “Hey.”

No Contact Game is real.

I’ve been busy so, we’ll see if we hook up again. Only time will tell.

What did you guys think of my response?

What would you have said?

Have you guys ever had this happen to you as well?

Lets us know and spread the word in the comments below.

How To Survive A Nuclear Strike

“Nu·cle·ar. It’s pronounced nu·cle·ar….Nu·cle·ar”

In light of the New World Hacker’s, “power test” – which I covered LIVE on my blog today, you can read that here – I think we should take stock and have a look at our survival skills (or lack there of).

While I was trying to keep up to date with The Great Internet Outage of 2016, I hopped on facebook and got a hold of my resident military correspondent, my old buddy Dan (I first wrote about him here).

Dan is a Canadian, hunter, fisherman, Conservative, and a veteran (2 tours in Afghanistan).

We got to talking about “The Hack Heard ‘Round The World” when nuclear war came up.

Here is part of our talk from facebook DM (coming in about half way into the conversation):

We are one deadly mistake away…and one angry response to that mistake away..from nuclear war.

And what I mean by that. Is. When US and Russia start fighting. It means you have like 2 weeks before nukes come out. That’s how fast that war woukd last
And that’s when 1 wide will know they’ve lost. And will launch
Then. Since its NEVER been practiced and rehearsed. No one knows what will happen. Everyone has counter missiles.
So. For all we know. Every nuke could be destroyed by counter measures haha

I have no idea what I would do if that happened. I’m fucked. At least you’re military trained.
I’m gonna step away from the computer for an hour or so and go to gym. I’ll come back and see if there are any updates to this crazy thing.

Lol. You might survive.  I’ll tell ya what to do

Survive the initial blasts. Then stay in basement for 10 days
Then. Wear lots of clothes and layers cover as much skin as possible. Then drive away. Anywhere

That seems doable
What else would you do?

After 10 days nuclear radiation ain’t so bad. Unless you’re ground 0
Get as low as you can. Radiation isn’t like air. It doesn’t move. It’s like snow
And then where the snow lands. That where radiation is. And it’s like having a battery in it. Soon as it lands it has full charge. Snd the radius is bigger. Over time it shrinks
And. Material. Even rubber clothes has a block factor. Like sunscreen
Then when you come outside. Direct contact with nuclear ash. Will be bad. But..other then that you fine lol. Wash everything boiled water.
Lol. Hope that helps

Pretty much. After that dude. Go north Later

I’ll be sure to post all that on fb when USA and Russia start fighting lol

Surviving the Apocalypse 101 hha
Okay Im gona head out. Ill talk to you later!

How To Survive A Nuclear Strike
  • When US and Russia start fighting you have about 2 weeks before the nukes come out
  • Survive the initial blasts
  • Stay in the basement for 10 days, get as low as you can
  • Emerge from underground
  • Wear lots of clothes and layers, cover as much skin as possible, like rubber clothes
  • Then drive away if you can – anywhere, preferably North
  • Wash things in boiled water
  • Survive

dcllive walking rick.jpg

How would you survive a nuclear blast?

Got any tips?

You better hurry, 2016 is coming to an end…maybe along with everything else.

LIVE UPDATES: Holy Fuck The Internet Is Down

(This is Part III of The D Live Culture Series)

(Scroll to the bottom for the most recent updates!)

Went to hop on to twitter to share my new post, and couldn’t get it to load. Searched, “site down” in google search, and this came up:

dcllive twitter down.jpg

Much of the internet appears to be broken. And it’s all because of one cyber attack.

A distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack has taken down systems run by Dyn, Inc, one of the largest providers of internet services in the world. And as a result it seems to be causing problems for a variety of websites – including Reddit, Spotify and Twitter.

This story is developing…

UPDATE 1: from “This Is Probably Why Half the Internet Shut Down Today [Update: It’s Getting Worse]

Twitter, Spotify and Reddit, and a huge swath of other websites were down or screwed up this morning. This was happening as hackers unleashed a large distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack on the servers of Dyn, a major DNS host. It’s probably safe to assume that the two situations are related.

Update 12:28 PM EST: Dyn says it is investigating yet another attack, causing the same massive outages experienced this morning. Based on emails from Gizmodo readers, this new wave of attacks seems to be affecting the West Coast of the United States and Europe. It’s so far unclear how the two attacks are related, but the outages are very similar.

A list of websites that are currently down:

Here’s a list of websites that readers have told us they are having trouble accessing:

Big cartel
Business Insider
HBO Now (iHeartRadio)
Playstation Network
Squarespace Customer Sites
Starbucks rewards/gift cards
The Verge
Twitter (lol)
Wix Customer Sites
Zoho CRM
Credit Karma
Fox News
New York Times
Elder Scrolls Online
Eve Online
Speed Test
Blue Host

This is nuts eh? I blame the alt-right and video game culture.

Stay tuned for more updates!

UPDATE 2: Here’s a video about what’s going on:

UPDATE 3: A possible reason.

The attack on DYN comes just hours after DYN researcher Doug Madory presented a talk on DDoS attacks in Dallas, Texas at a meeting of the North American Network Operators Group (NANOG).

Cyber Warfare. Nerds can’t shoot a gun, so they hack instead.

Updates will continue!

UPDATE 4: “Today’s Brutal DDoS Attack Is the Beginning of a Bleak Future

Some think the attack was a political conspiracy, like an attempt to take down the internet so that people wouldn’t be able to read the leaked Clinton emails on Wikileaks. Others think it’s the usual Russian assault. No matter who did it, we should expect incidents like this to get worse in the future. While DDoS attacks used to be a pretty weak threat, we’re entering a new era.

Maybe we can go back to old-timey living like farms, buggy and carriage, and that can-and-string thing we used to talk through. Simpler times.

Shit is getting real.

More updates to come!

UPDATE 5 (sort of): A fellow blogger dropped this in the comments. This isn’t new as this video was released on October 18th. But this is new to me. After watching this it certainly helps us connect some dots.

What the heck is a DDoS attack anyway?

These complex and devastating problems are a result of multiple systems (botnets) target a single resource. This incoming traffic overwhelms that target, essentially shutting it down and preventing legitimate traffic from getting through. The target of today’s problem appears to be a major DNS (Domain Name Servers) Dyn. If your DNS can’t direct you to your favorite website, such as Pinterest or Etsy, then you’re not getting there.

UPDATE 6: October 21st, 2016

Put a marker down on this day. It is one to be remembered.

And what are DNS’s?

For those not in the know, a DNS or Domain Name Servers fundamentally act as the tool that sees through a user’s request to access any given webpage ensuring that the internet user reaches the right destination. If you clicked on this article via a Twitter link or on Google, the DNS host used by Hacked took care of your request to then facilitate your access to this page. If our DNS provider is down, we’re out of luck in trying to get you to visit this website. It’s a pretty big deal.

Now I’ve got a better idea of what is going on. If you have any updates drop them in the comments below.

I’ll keep updating this post as long as this story (and me) have steam.

UPDATE 7: The Russians! Red Dawn is upon us.

No one has claimed responsibility yet, says CNN. That hasn’t stopped the conspiracy theories from flying that Russia could be behind the attack or even that the United States perpetrated it in a “false flag” attack to blame Russia.

My bet is that it’s some shitlords just messing with us for the simple reason, because they can.

UPDATE 8: Big Brother hack

We may already know at least one method the hackers are using. According to security intelligence firm Flashpoint, their researchers have observed a Mirai botnet attacking Dyn…

…In previous incidents, botnets of more than 25,000 cameras have been used in attacks that often start in Asia, in particular China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam. One Chinese camera-maker appears to have accounted for nearly half of the camera bots used in recent DDoS attacks.

Also, here is an internet outage map as of 3:30 pm ET:

UPDATE 9: Twitter is back! – 4:36pm ET

Perhaps the attack is over. Can I come out of my bunker now?

UPDATE 10: The Internet of Things and How Our LG Fridges Will Kill Us All (not actual title)

The Internet of Things has been held up as the next big technology revolution that will lower business costs and make employees more productive, but it brings with it major baggage for corporate leaders.

Cybersecurity experts warn that IoT is one of the most vulnerable areas in the enterprise, and massive IoT device armies are one of the most effective ways to launch cyberattacks.

DDos attacks like this are really just the beginning

Only the beginning. Right, sure. Like our toasters are gonna come after us for all those times we burnt our poppy seed gluten free bagels.

Right now, civilization seems to be on the losing side, as researchers with Akamai say as many as two million devices have been taken over by hackers. And since most devices are designed to be left alone after being set up, it’s almost impossible for an average user to know their device has been compromised.

“There was an expectation with PCs that you would upgrade them over time, but there’s not that expectation with your toaster,” Matthew Prince, CEO of CloudFlare, told Business Insider. “Consumers and businesses are trained to install all of these devices and never think about them again. So if there is a vulnerability, getting those vulnerabilities fixed is the real challenge.”

We’re all dead.

UPDATE 11: It was the White Wizard!

“Heavily armed ‘police’ appear outside Ecuadorian Embassy in London where Julian Assange has political asylum.”

Wikileaks on DDoS: “We ask supporters to stop taking down the US internet”

Careful what you read folks. Nobody really knows what’s going on.

UPDATE 12: This is Just a Test

Hackers Claim Responsibility

Members of a shadowy hacker collective that calls itself New World Hackers claimed responsibility for the attack via Twitter. They said they organized networks of connected “zombie” computers that threw a staggering 1.2 terabits per second of data at the Dyn-managed servers.

“We didn’t do this to attract federal agents, only test power,” two collective members who identified themselves as “Prophet” and “Zain” told an AP reporter via Twitter direct message exchange. They said more than 10 member participated in the attack. It was not immediately possible to verify the claim.

Testing the power. Well I think they passed with flying colours. Internet security however, failed miserably.

Will The Real Slim Shady Please Sit Down

(This year has been an eye opener for me. I decided to test my unplugging to see if I can pierce the veil of mainstream culture by dissecting the bullshit that is promoted by its “Soldiers of the Narrative” i.e. Celebrities. This is Part II of The D Live Culture Series.)

When I first heard a song by Eminem, I was instantly hooked. His non-politically correct lyrics triggered the MSM the world over. When you’re a teenager, it was an amazing and fun sight to see.

These days, I didn’t hear much coming from the Slim Shady camp. Until yesterday when a commentor by the name of IMGrody, mentioned this:

Its always the same narrative, from Alec Baldwin, to Emma Watson, to… anybody you see in any sort of entertainment. Fuck, even Eminem is marching to their tune.

Get out of here, really? I mean, I haven’t been up to date with what’s hip and with it with the kids these days, but Eminem? No way.

Turns out, Grody was right. So I did some research (aka googling). I typed, “Eminem SJW” into the search bar.

I first found a discussion on a fitness website forum thread titled, “Eminem has lost it, he’s become full SJW”

Here are some comments from the thread:

The questions he raises in such a well articulated way makes me wonder whether he too will win a nobel prize one day….

New hit single, “Not That Noble.” by Eminem feat. Bob Dylan.

damn….always loved Em

its over boyos – cant listen to em anymore

People still listen to a 44 year old rapper? What the fuck he got to rap about these days. Skeletor face, wrinkly-ball looking mother fucker.

dcllive eminem old.jpg
Just go away.

Fucking A man I can’t believe I put money into this mans pockets…

Back in the day I bought every Slim Shady album with money. No pirating. Today, I’d be happy to show you how to get his shite music for free.

He’s white and he raps. He was already a cuck.

Dude that’s racist. I’m triggered.

But you’re not wrong.

Listened to a lil of it on Youtube I think last night… Turned it off after I heard the Zimmerman bit..

Strangely odd it gets released this close to the election…

/Haven’t listened to anything new by him in years anyways. He stopped being Em, and now just tries to stay relevant…

Ah ha! Something happened recently that made its way on youtube. Now we’re getting somewhere.

So I change my search to just, “Eminem” filter by ‘News’ and then there it was, “Eminem’s rap attack on Trump.”

Dammit, of course he did.

This is from a TimeLive article titled, “LISTEN: Eminem’s rap attack on Trump”

The top-selling rapper of all time, Eminem has been relatively quiet in the past several years…

Good. Should of stayed quiet. What and who made you think people all of a sudden needed to hear what you had to say about things, Marsh?

Eminem uploaded Campaign Speech on YouTube in which he offers his take on America in 2016 in a freestyle rap largely without a musical backdrop.

Hmm, I wounder if it’ll get un-monetized from youtube because all of the filthy lyrics?

(Now we’ll jump to his, “Campaign Speech” freestyle:)

“You got it twisted, all ’cause I offered this bitch
A doggie biscuit, you call me misogynistic
Bitch, get to massagin’ this dick!
Like spas in this bitch, slob on it with gobs of lipstick
Got a shoppin’ list for you to run some odds and ends with
It’s not a bitch on this earth I can be monogamous with
She’s non-existent”

“Run the faucet, I’ma dunk
A bunch of Trump supporters underwater”

“You say Trump don’t kiss ass like a puppet
‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the fundin’
And that’s what you wanted
A fuckin’ loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button
Who doesn’t have to answer to no one—great idea!”

You know what, not terrible. He’s talented I’ll give him that.

But oh wait! He hates Trump! We’ll leave it up on youtube and even promote it!

(Now we’ll jump back to the previous article:)

The 44-year-old rapper (EDIT: lol), whose last fully fledged album came out in late 2013, has rarely been overtly political in the past although he has made known his left-leaning sympathies.

There it is folks. The smoking gun – “although he has made known his left-leaning sympathies.”

I suppose then it’s not that strange or odd that this freestyle of his gets released this close to the election.

Because these days when it comes to the MSM – whether that’s Hollywood, the Music Industry, or especially the News – I cannot be surprised anymore with the shit they pull.

Marshall Mathers is trying to stay relevant. He, and his handlers, saw an opportunity  (i.e. Trump) for him to ‘speak his mind’ like the old days. It’s just another form of virtue signalling to the masses. Just like our friend Jim “Marshmallow Man” Gaffigan.

So the only question I’ve got for you Em is, will the the real Slim Shady please sit down?

People’s true colours are showing because of this election.

Have you noticed any other cultural figures clearly pushing a narrative?

Do you have any more analysis of Eminem’s “Campaign Speech” freestyle?

Let us know what you think in the comments below.

(By the way, just before hitting the ‘publish’ button is saw that his “Campaign Speech” freestyle is trending #6 on youtube.

Jim Gaffigan Wants You To Be A Fat Dad

(This year has been an eye opener for me. I decided to test my unplugging to see if I can pierce the veil of mainstream culture by dissecting the bullshit that is promoted by its “Soldiers of the Narrative” i.e. Celebrities. This is Part I of The D Live Culture Series.)

The featured image is from Jim Gaffigan’s new book, “Dad Is Fat.”

This is NOT a review of his book.

This is a post about a comedian who is blatantly virtue signalling to the masses. This isn’t new. But it sure is revealing.

These days a man can’t define his own masculinity without it being filtered through the good ol F.I. (feminine imperative).

I’ve got an email subscription to the BigThink blog. It’s like a science-meets-pop-culture info and news site. There’s usually some cool articles and videos on quantum mechanics, cosmology, and neuroscience.

But, of course, there is some blue pill bs that can be found throughout the site.

I received an email notification about BigThink’s newsletter, I opened it up on my phone, and looked for something cool to read.

And then I found this:

dcllive jim gaff.jpg
His body language says everything you need to know.

Did you watch that? It was brutal I know. A soft skin low-t man telling you how to be a man.

Fucking cringe-worthy.

Lets have some fun with Jim, and dissect his lovely video.

Manhood is Defined by How Men Treat Women

The idea of being a man has changed so dramatically, right.

I’m with you so far Jim.

But particularly I think not just the responsibilities of being a father which has always been, not to get all Kahlil Gibran like these children are on loan to us and we’re supposed to make sure that we take care of them and we’re the stewards of these human beings. Male roles which is something my wife and I have written about in the show because the concept of a father today is dramatically different.

And why exactly is the ‘concept’ so different now?

Who said a Father’s responsibility has to change?

A Father’s responsibility is to provide for a child a competent male role model, which you mentioned, but that idea of Manhood, and male role models, must be defined by men. Full stop.

Vice versa, Womanhood should be defined by women.

I think it’s perspective on how we treat women, right. That is the beginning and the ending of it. We are animals. I start from that premise. And we choose to not behave like animals. And that’s, you know, a pretty guiding force through humanity whether it gets completely out of control or just panting like a dog when an attractive woman walks by.

The beginning and the end of it. Sure why not. You can end conversation and debate about Manhood right there, because there couldn’t possibly be any other definition, right?

You know, it was a guiding force for civilization, but we’re animals panting like a dog at attractive women. So, stop being all manly!

I even look at like pornography and all this stuff where it’s yeah, you know, it’s like look, I love naked women, I really do.

I see, virtue signalling to men now, “Hey I mean, I’m a dude so I like porn too.”

But I also know that I am a visual human being and I can’t, you know, consume images of naked women and not have that influence how I view other women. I mean that’s my personal opinion. It’s like my sexual desires are very valid and real but if I, you know, follow through on every sexual desire first of all I’d have a thousand children. No but I think then that’s not how you get – I wouldn’t feel very good. Do you know what I mean?

I think I know what you mean. You see an attractive woman, think about the dirty, nasty, and filthy things you want to do to her, and then would also like to do that to other women you find attractive. BUT, you seem to imply men should feel shame about it, because you, “wouldn’t feel very good” about, basically, fulfilling your biological imperative.

When I look at my young sons I think that look, I know that we love and like the normalization of porn and I’m not, you know, it’s like to each their own, right. But I don’t think that I want my sons consuming pornography.

I’m with Jim on this one, I also wouldn’t want my sons to consume too much porn either. However, should we “love” or even “like” the normalization of porn? Doesn’t that lead to rape culture (according to the feministas)?

That’s not a good thing to teach your sons Jim.

I want my sons to look at an advertisement and say that is a beautiful woman but she’s being objectified.

Jim, are you against women working?

What if she made the decision to use her body like that to provide an income for herself?

I think she has enough agency to make that decision. Or, was she helplessly convinced by male management to show off her goods?

I’m confused, we all love the normalization of porn but it’s objectifying to have a beautiful woman on an advertisement. Interesting, Jim.

And I do want even beyond that I personally think that in the United States we give credit and appreciate attractive people too much.

That’s exactly what an ugly person would say.

And so I think that I want to instill that, I mean I think a lot of parents who desperately want to have nerdy children. So I don’t know. I want my kids to be, my sons to be better men than me. But I think also, you know, it’s different paths to getting there.

Wanting your sons to be better men than you is admirable. But I still sense some shame coming from Jim.

He might feel he’s not the man his sons should turn out to be.

Also, I don’t want my kids to be nerdy, do you?

But culturally it’s interesting. I saw a clip of Match Game which was a game show when I was growing up from the mid-70s, 80s, I don’t know. And the beginning of the show it was just filled with the host more or less sexually harassing the female contestants. And it was not malicious and that man did not know he was doing it. And maybe those women didn’t feel icky. But from our standards today it was ridiculous.

Did you just say icky? Dammit Jim, can you at least try?

It wasn’t malicious, the men weren’t even “aware of what they were doing (i.e. harassing)”and the women weren’t bothered by it. So whats’s the problem?

I mean I also feel like to discredit everything I’ve said I also think that I don’t want us to get to the point where there isn’t passion, right.

He was barley aware of his cognitive dissonance.

I would bet he has no idea where that passion comes from, how that passion is supposed to be manifested, or even interpreted.

But he seems to know that passion is needed. But not the “icky” kind of course.

When I met my wife and we went on our first date I aggressively kissed her. Not in a monstrous way but even hearing myself describe it I don’t know if we could do that today. And I’m sure I could have because there’s a communication that’s unspoken when you’re courting someone. But courting like it’s the 1800s. Like you’re riding a horse to meet them. But there is something about – there’s rules but there’s also what’s so great about relationships is that tingling feeling when the chemistry that we can’t articulate works.

The fear of being direct with a women is rampant here in the West. Don’t be afraid. Make a move. If you’re not sure how, go here.

Hey, I’m no PUA, but I recognize when I should make a move and I don’t hesitate. You shouldn’t either. Women want an aggressively sexual man. Don’t believe the blue pill hype.

You have to be comfortable enough to make a move and potentially strike out. That’s how an attractive male is moulded. You listening Jim?

What do you guys think?

How were my observation skills?
